A housing innovation platform, Homes on Demand, plans to recruit certified builders and developers in Nigeria to address the country’s growing housing deficit. The initiative aims to support the government’s efforts to provide affordable homeownership opportunities.

Mallam Bashir Yusuf, the CEO of Homes on Demand, stated that the initiative, called ‘Home on demand’, seeks to establish a technology-driven construction ecosystem. This ecosystem will integrate design, development, and delivery processes, aiming to set a new standard for the real estate industry in Africa.

Homes on Demand integrates design, development, and delivery through a digital platform, allowing clients to customize and monitor their homes. The SmartSite Dashboard and Construction Playbook ensure transparency and accountability among stakeholders. The company aims to eliminate challenges such as delays and distrust in traditional housing delivery systems.

Starting soon, Homes on Demand will onboard certified developers and construction professionals into its digital ecosystem. These professionals will receive project allocations through the platform while adhering to quality and ethical standards. Participating builders and developers will gain access to project allocations, a digital dashboard for managing projects, national recognition, training, and an ethical construction framework.

Homes on Demand aims to support local job creation, sustainable building practices, and financial inclusion. The initiative seeks to stimulate the housing economy and promote ethical construction practices.
