Abuja, July 31 (Viewpoint Housing News) – The Managing Director of McDream Concept Limited, a real estate company, Engr. A.S Yunusa has called on the organisers of the just concluded 2023 Africa International Housing Show (AIHS) to inculcate a session for undergraduates in subsequent editions of the show, as a way of blooding the next generation of real estate developers

He said this will prepare the minds of students who wish to take the path of real estate practice in making a career.

Engr. Yunusa also said discussions during the show could serve as a means of project research for these students, some of which could be in their final year in school.

He commended the organisers of the Show for the way activities and sessions were coordinated. The show he said was an upgrade to previous editions and had lots of networking between and amongst participants and exhibitors. However, he said there can still be room for improvement.

Describing the Show as “mind blowing”, he said the sessions were great, interacting with other key participants.

“Kudos to the organisers of the show, this year’s edition was better than the previous. The sessions  were very thoughtful, especially with the way they were organised.

“However, in future editions, the Show should inculcate a session for students from higher institutions of learning who are aspiring to be a part of the real estate sector. It will be a way of gaining experience on their part before coming out of school to start practicing.

“This is to prepare their minds before they eventually come into the real estate industry. Imagine a final year student was there when we were talking about alternative materials, he can pick a project topic and other research materials from the discussions. Project research can also come from there and in the end, it will be value created”.

He said like the theme of the show, “Beyond Rhetoric To Homes: Making Housing Happen”, there should be hands on deck solutions or implementation than talking.
