Chairman of JEDO Investment Limited Mr Aliyu Oroji Wamako is now forth president of Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN) National Executive Council.
Wamako and his exco members took oath of office on Wednesday at the close of the association’s 11th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Abuja.
In his acceptance speech, Wamakko promised to continue with programmes of the past exco.
He identified data collation, training of members of the association, building of REDAN House and collaboration with stakeholders as major areas of focus.
He said, “We shall engage the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria with the aim of furthering our relationship on both old and new frontiers.
“We shall institute a formadable relationship with the Family Homes Fund Limited as a new source of construction finance for estate development.
“As for Nigeria Mortgage Refinance Limited, we shall take full advantage of the signed MoU and same for Shelter Afrique.”
According to the new president, membership drive will be vigorously pursued so that both old and new members are brought in, even as “membership benefits and assistance in terms of land matters and new vista of construction finance are given needed impetus.”
He promised that his exco will make all parts of Nigeria feel impact of REDAN’s affordable housing effort.
Viewpoint Housing News reports that Wamakko who was the First Deputy President of REDAN succeeded Mr Ugochukwu Chime.
Chime urged the sixth National Executive Council to chat an inclusive , profitable and enduring course for the association.
Present at the AGM were former Minister of Sports Bala Kaoje and former Minister of State for Health Gabriel Aduku.
