Christopher Maikalangu, the chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), has announced that the council will soon begin commissioning several completed projects. This declaration came during the recent commissioning of the Saburi Road by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.
Among the completed projects are various community access roads, including those in Orozo, Mabushi, Jahi, Gosa, and Sabon Lugbe. Additional projects include roads in Toge, Dnako, Karmo, Kugbo, Wumba, and Dutse, as well as the Life Camp Fish Market Road and Jikwoi Phase 1 & 2.
Maikalangu also highlighted the construction of over 40 solar-powered boreholes, 18 primary healthcare centers, and 18 primary schools. He noted the establishment of two town halls, 29 rural electrifications, and numerous solar streetlights across the communities. Furthermore, he mentioned initiatives aimed at empowering youth, women, and farmers, alongside the construction of markets.
These developments reflect the council’s commitment to improving infrastructure and services in the Abuja area.
