A fully loaded petrol tanker on Wednesday afternoon crashed and exploded in the commercial city of Onitsha, Anambra State, burning many shops.
Viewpoint Housing News could not confirm any deaths at the time of filing this report even as firefighters were yet to arrive the scene.
Anambra State Police Spokesman Harunna Muhammed said the Commissioner of Police, John Abang was on his way to the scene for an on-the-spot assessment.
Those who witnessed the incident said the fire was spreading to Ochanja market.
Petrol stations located around the area were badly consumed.
