Abuja – November 15, 2023 – Viewpoint Housing News.

The Fraud Awareness Coalition (FAC) has demanded The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate Promiseland Estate’s operations and provide the results to the public.

In a news statement released on Wednesday, the convener, Saminu Waziri, stated that the group had received several grievances and protests from investors numbering in dozens.

The activist questioned why, despite receiving several requests over the years, the anti-graft agency had not yet taken decisive action against the Abuja-based real estate corporation.

According to Waziri, if pertinent government entities don’t carry out their duties and ensure that justice is served, it would simply “create an environment where anything goes.”

the  law enforcement and local residents are aware of this issue. The EFCC’s Land Fraud Unit was established in part because of a land promoter who was charged with fraud in 2003 by then FCT Minister Nasir El-Rufai, he said.

Regretfully, the promoters continue to hunt with the help of FCT authorities and other agencies. We are aware that they are hiring a business to place billboards advertising Promiseland Estate in some of Abuja’s most prominent areas, such as Kugbo District.

“A portion of land controversially assigned to Praco Nigeria International Ltd. by the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) was given to Sunrise Estate Development Ltd. more than 20 years ago, during the previous administration of the Federal Capital Territory Ministry.”

“The legitimate ownership of the disputed land was reinstated once the former FCT Minister left office. It’s odd that this corporation is still subject to a court order despite all of this” he added.

We hereby implore the EFCC to investigate the complaints that have been filed against Promiseland Estate and its owners in order to protect gullible and innocent persons from suffering more harm.

“We also urge all complainants, whether in Abuja or elsewhere in the nation, to come into EFCC offices as soon as they can and provide documentation that would help investigators conduct a thorough investigation.
