The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has announced the construction of an entrepreneurship skills development centre aimed at promoting innovation and practical business education in secondary schools. The project is currently underway at Government Secondary School, Giri, and is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.

According to Dr. Mohammed Ladan, Director and Secretary of the FCT Secondary Education Board, the initiative is part of broader efforts to integrate entrepreneurship training into the curriculum for young learners across the territory.

The new centre is being established in partnership with Brunel University Business School, United Kingdom, which has pledged to furnish and equip the facility once construction is complete. Upon completion, the centre will not only serve students in the FCT but also act as a national hub for entrepreneurship education, accessible to students from all 36 states of Nigeria.

The announcement was made on the sidelines of a two-day training workshop for FCT teachers on innovation and entrepreneurship education.
