The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development has declared intentions to partner with the Abuja Property Development Company (APDC) to manage the sale of houses that will be constructed under the Renewed Hope Cities and Estates programme.

The Housing Minister, Ahmed Dangiwa, unveiled the partnership intention following a visit from the APDC’s delegation, led by Acting Managing Director, Akeem Aderogba, to the minister’s office.

It was noted by the minister that the delivery plan of Renewed Hope Cities and Estates relies heavily on PPP, and urged the management of APDC to coordinate with the PPP department of the ministry to ensure implementation.

The minister emphasised the value of sharing information with APDC, especially with regard to the sale of the ministry’s significant inventory of homes.

He expressed an intense interest to gain knowledge from APDC’s experiences, particularly on their methods for marketing homes and their comprehension of the need for different kinds of residences in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The minister emphasised that, considering the ministry’s first attempt at selling a sizable number of homes, utilising APDC’s experience was essential and required.
