The Federal Government has revoked the provisional allocation of 1,357 housing units across 33 states due to beneficiaries’ failure to complete payment within the stipulated timeframe.

The Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, in a statement on Tuesday, confirmed the decision, citing non-compliance with the 90-day payment deadline and an additional eight-week grace period granted to subscribers of the National Housing Programme (NHP).

According to the statement, the revocation was in line with the terms outlined in the Provisional Offer of Allocation Letter issued to the affected individuals. The ministry emphasized that only those who failed to meet their financial obligations were affected, while those who paid in full by February 28, 2025, remain eligible to receive their Letters of Allocation.

The affected properties, which include one- and two-bedroom bungalows as well as three-bedroom semi-detached bungalows, were spread across states such as Delta, Rivers, Anambra, Oyo, Kaduna, Kano, and 27 others.

To ensure transparency, the ministry has published the full list of revoked allocations on its website, along with details of the affected individuals, house types, and locations. The list will also be featured in Daily Trust, The Nation, and Leadership newspapers in the first week of April 2025.

Affected subscribers have been advised to visit the ministry’s headquarters in Abuja or contact the Director of Public Buildings and Housing Development for further inquiries.

The government reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring fair access to affordable housing while enforcing strict compliance with allocation terms to improve the efficiency of the NHP.
