The Surveyor General of the Federation (SGoF), Samuel Taiwo has said that the Federal School of Surveying (FSS), Oyo State, is to be restructured and a Faculty of Geo-informatics and Science created as part of efforts to transform the institution into a university. While disclosing this at a council meeting, he mandated the management to prepare a road map to upgrade the school.

The governing council also called for a review of the school master plan by appointing a six-man committee for the expansion of the institution.
The council commended commitment of the Rector, Dr. Dupe Nihinlola Olayinka-Dosunmu, and management for recent improvements and upgrading of facilities in the campus, advising them to put in more effort.

Briefing the chairman and governing council of the school, Olayinka-Dosunmu told the council that the 1000-capacity lecture theatre remains 80 per cent completed adding that the administrative complex with over 40 office space will be ready soon.
