A fire has razed town the main market in Azare, Katagum Local Government Area of Bauchi State, destroying property worth millions of naira.
The fire reportedly started around 11:00pm Sunday and continued until Monday morning.
Over 500 shops are said to have been burnt in the inferno.
The tragedy came a day after a rainstorm destroyed houses and other property on Saturday.
Many were killed in the rainstorm. DT
