The Media Centre of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Abuja was on Friday morning engulfed by fire.
The fire that started around 11:00am gutted a substantial part of the building.
Mostly affected is the Election and Party Monitoring Department (EPM), which was completely razed.
But INEC National Commissioner and Chairman Voters’ Education and Information, Festus Okoye, said no critical document was lost.
