A fire incident occurred in the Lekki area of Lagos State on Thursday, destroying a one-storey building and its contents. The fire started around 1 PM, and while the cause is still under investigation, no casualties or injuries were reported.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) confirmed that the roof was destroyed and windows shattered, with household items such as furniture and air conditioning systems lost to the flames. The quick response of emergency teams helped prevent the fire from spreading to nearby buildings.
This incident follows another series of fire incidents earlier in the week, attributed to negligence, resulting in significant property damage, including a three-storey building in the Docemo market area.
