The Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) has expressed willingness to partner with the promoters of Brekete Family Sites and Services Estate and the Brekete Smart City to advance mortgage loans to subscribers.
The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) of
FMBN, Arc. Ahmed Dangiwa, gave the assurance when President and Founder of
Brekete Family, Ordinary Ahmad Isah, visited the bank in Abuja recently.
Arc. Dangiwa said FMBN considered the visit timely as part of its strategic
focus was to strengthen its partnership and collaboration with stakeholders in
order to promote mutual understanding for the achievement of the purpose for
which the National Housing Fund (NHF) scheme was created.
He said, “We are glad to hear the formation of Brekete Family Sites and
Services Limited and the Brekete Smart City which purpose is to help in closing
the hosing deficit in Abuja and environs.”

Family Sites and Services project, Mr.
Iyke Ezeugo, said the visit was necessitated by the serious changes and
progress noticed at FMBN. Mr. Ezeugo said, “We have come to see how we can
collaborate so that we can know how some of our subscribers that are
contributors to the NHF would access the fund.
“Secondly, to know whether there are options where we could have some level of
financing intervention to enable us deliver in the area of infrastructure
within the housing estate.
” Also speaking, the President and Founder of Brekete
Family, Ordinary Ahmad Isah, said FMBN had the capacity to solve 80 per cent of
home ownership problems in Nigeria, and therefore called on the bank to
heighten its education of Nigerians on how they could take advantage of the
multiple opportunities of the bank. Daily trust
