The Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) is taking part in the inaugural International Civil Service Conference, held at Eagle Square in Abuja from June 25 to 26, 2025.
During the conference, the Bank’s Managing Director/Chief Executive, Shehu Usman Osidi, represented by Mr. Uche Ihejirika, Group Head of the National Housing Fund (NHF), reaffirmed FMBN’s commitment to expanding affordable homeownership opportunities for Nigerian civil servants.
Ihejirika highlighted that the conference, organized by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation in collaboration with the Global Government Forum, serves as a vital platform to discuss how the civil service can adapt to rapid technological advancements, rising public expectations, and the need for greater institutional resilience.
He emphasized that FMBN’s participation is timely, as the Bank is undergoing a digital transformation to streamline services and improve access to affordable housing. This initiative aligns with the Bank’s mandate and supports President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda aimed at expanding housing opportunities for low- and middle-income Nigerians.
The two-day conference features a diverse group of participants, including public sector leaders, policy experts, and development partners, who are exchanging ideas on strategies to reform the civil service and enhance public service delivery.
