Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, has approved the recertification of all Certificates of Occupancy (C-of-Os) in the state. This directive was announced in a statement by the Director General of Taraba Geographic Information Service (TAGIS), Joshua Maaku.

The exercise aims to ensure that all land property documents are current and comply with the state’s regulations. Maaku urged all landowners to take advantage of this opportunity by visiting the TAGIS headquarters in Jalingo, the state capital. The recertification process will last for six months, after which late fees will apply for those who fail to complete the process within the designated timeframe.

Maaku emphasized the importance of this recertification, urging landowners to ensure their Certificates of Occupancy are updated to avoid penalties. This initiative by Governor Kefas is intended to enhance land ownership documentation in Taraba State and ensure compliance with existing laws.
