Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has signed an Executive Order for the relocation of the Coal Camp spare parts and allied trades markets to the newly established International Spare Parts and Allied Trades Park. This new site spans the Udi and Ezeagu local government areas along the Enugu-Onitsha Road.

The order, titled “Designation and Establishment of the Enugu International Motor Spare Parts and Allied Traders Park,” was signed at the Government House in the presence of the state’s Attorney General, Dr. Kingsley Udeh, and leaders of the spare parts dealers’ association.

Governor Mbah assured the traders that the new market would feature world-class infrastructure, including safety codes, a fire service station, a truck park, a clinic, and residential areas for traders. He emphasized that this market addresses the shortcomings of the Coal Camp Market.

Chief Michael Nomeh, President of the Enugu Motor Spare Parts Dealers Association, expressed gratitude for the relocation, noting that previous administrations had failed to fulfill similar promises. He praised Governor Mbah for taking action within less than two years of his tenure.

Dr. Sam Ogbu-Nwobodo, Managing Director of the Enugu State Investment Development Authority, emphasized the strategic importance of the new location, stating that traders would have the opportunity to own their shops rather than rent.

This relocation marks a significant step forward for the traders and the local economy, promising enhanced facilities and a more organized trading environment.
