The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Industries, Dr. Sam Egwu, has cautioned the Imo State Government over encroaching on lands belonging to the Federal Government in the state.
Dr. Egwu expressed dismay at the flagrant encroachment on lands earmarked by the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) for small scale industries at the Industrial Development Centre in Imo.
Egwu said the committee, which was in Owerri as part of its oversight functions, would communicate its findings to the leadership of the Senate, especially on the encroachments. Daily Trust
