Inculcate Appropriate Work Ethics Carrying Out Your Duties — Lagos Commissioner

Lagos State Building Control Agency have been urged to inculcate appropriate work ethics and comportment in their interactions with members of the public, be professional in carrying out their duties.

The Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development,  Omotayo Bamgboye-Martins, made the call at a two-day in-house training themed, “Repositioning LASBCA for Better Service Delivery.”

Bamgboye-Martins urged members of staff of the agency to be diligent and professional while discharging their core duties, adding that the training programme was designed to improve service delivery to residents of the state.

The commissioner enjoined members of staff to always be civil and courteous in addressing issues tabled before them and ensure that they were promptly treated accordingly to boost the goodwill of the agency.

He said the participants should always get prepared ahead of challenges that might come their way.

The Permanent Secretary, Civil Service Commission, Boladele Dapo-Thomas, charged the participants to take cognisance of relevant laws guiding them as public servants and as professionals, all officers must be productive and result-oriented for enhanced service delivery.

Also speaking at the workshop, Abiodun Bamgboye, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government, Establishment, Training and Pension, advised members of staff to always strike a balance between personal values, beliefs and work ethics/duties.
