A house committee on Public petition sitting in Abuja has ruled in favour of Natives of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in an Iddo-sarki Land Dispute case against the Nigerian Military.
At the sitting yesterday, the FCT minister testified that the aforementioned land was given to the Ministry of Aviation, not the Nigerian Military. He also provided the documentation to that regard.
On the contrary, the military did not produce any important documents, such as letters of allocation or certificates of origin.
In the end, the chairman of the committee ruled in favour of the fct natives, declaring that the military were illegitimate occupants claiming the land and should keep off.
