NiMet predicts rainfall for Saturday

Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted rainfall activities over most parts of the country on Saturday.

NiMet’s weather outlook on Friday in Abuja predicted cloudy condition over the Northern States with chances of thunderstorms over Katsina, Kano, Zaria, Gusau and Sokoto axis in the morning hours.

It forecast widespread thunderstorm over the Northern region later in the day with day and night temperatures of 28 to 31 degree Celsius and 20 to 24 degree Celsius respectively.

“For Central States moderate rain is expected over Abuja, Niger and Ilorin in the morning hours with prospects of thunderstorms/rains over some parts of the region in the afternoon hours.

“Day and Night temperatures expexpected to be 27 to 32 degree Celsius and 20 to 24 degree Celsius.

According to NiMet, cloudy condition is expected over the inland cities of Southern States with moderate rains over the coastal cities of the region in the morning hours.

The agency envisaged moderate rains over the entire region in the afternoon/evening period with day and night temperatures of 28 to 30 degree Celsius and 20 to 24 degree Celsius respectively. NAN
