The Ogun State House of Assembly on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, warned that it will issue arrest warrants for 17 individuals accused of illegally selling and encroaching on land belonging to the state Housing Corporation.

Chairman of the House Committee on Lands and Housing, Damilola Soneye, issued the warning during a legislative sitting. He stated that the accused have repeatedly ignored invitations to appear before the committee to respond to petitions against them.

The individuals allegedly involved in the sale of land at Ibido, Sagamu include:
Emmanuel Osho, Folabi Osho, Moshood Lawal Keji, Owodunni Sodipo, Adeyiga Jeje Lambo, Abiodun Soneye, Tikare, and Hammed Sodipe.

Soneye said these eight had failed to honour two prior invitations and now face the possibility of arrest under Section 129 of the Nigerian Constitution if they do not appear by noon on Thursday, June 26.

In a related case involving illegal occupation and land grabbing at the Itanrin estate in Ijebu-Ode, the House summoned another group:
Sikiru Shittu Onakoya, Ismail Onakoya, Azeez Shittu Onakoya, Tunde Onakoya, Alhaji Olukorede Baoku, Adeleke Yekeen Abu, Alhaji Ikililu Alawiye, Chief Akeem Abajo, and Adegunwa Kunle Oluwatosin.

They are also expected to appear before the House Committee on Thursday at 1pm.

The Assembly emphasized that continued failure to comply will result in legal enforcement to compel attendance.
