REDAN Strategic Retreat, 2024 : Osidi Harps On Continuous Collaborations to Elevate Housing Sector

The Real Estate Developers Association Of Nigeria (REDAN) held its 2024 strategic retreat on Friday, May 24, 2024  in Lagos.

The event Played Host to the Managing Director/ Chief Executive of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN), Mr Shehu Usman Osidi.

In his address the MD/CE of the FMBN commended REDAN for its contribution to the built sector . He extended hearty Congratulations to The new Leadership Of REDAN and gave his best wishes .

The MD/CE emphasized the critical need for collaborations from diverse stakeholders to strengthen the housing sector.

Osidi also highlighted the role of Federal  Instutitions like the FMBN, REDAN, as well as the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development ,  in achieving housing development goals across the nation.

In Osidi’s words “Since the coming of the President Tinubu administration we have all witnessed the significant changes that are being rolled out, as well as the Dedication and Devotion of the Minister of Housing, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, in bridging the housing deficit in the country.

While harping on the need for stronger ties,  he presented the FMBN’s 7 point agenda to transform the Bank for optimal performance.

Osidi also assured REDAN’s Leadership of the FMBN’s commitment to sustain the spirit of partnership , describing the two organisations as “Partners in Progress”.

He further made recommendations to REDAN, especially on ways to avert damage to the Image of professional developers in the country by fraudsters and quacks.

He suggested the adoption of environmentally friendly building materials and technology to reduce the burden placed on real estate developers.

He concluded his remarks by Applauding REDAN for its significant strides since inception, while charging for continuous
Collaborations to meet the high expectations of the government and fellow citizens.
