REDAN’s Proposed bill to Protect rights of home Seekers and buyers

The Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria {REDAN} has proposed a bill to the National Assembly tiltled “Real Estate {Regulation and Development} Bill 2020. This was made known when the association led by its president Alh. Aliyu Wamakko paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency, Sen. Dr. {Alh} Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko who is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Defence, National Assembly.

The visit he said was to solicit for the support of the Senator and the National Assembly to pass the bill into law, the proposed bill he noted is to protect the rights of home seekers, home buyers, developers and other professionals involved in housing development in the country.

“The bill is to promote transparency in the sector, leading to boost of investments in the real estate and housing sector. We are confident that the passion you had for housing as a State Governor and REDAN will be brought to bear in the passage of the proposed Bill”, he said. The president of REDAN further added that the association currently has over 2300 registered corporate firms as members who are also small housing providers that have trained professionals, builders and artisans under their employment
