Abuja – November 24, 2023 – Viewpoint Housing. Our Stand (95)-
In accordance with the recent directives issued by Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, mass housing owners in the FCT would now be issued Certificates of Occupancy when they fulfil specific conditions with submission of Allocations letters and other documents through the Estate developers in order to receive the certificate of occupancy(C of O) .
Authorities in the Federal Capital Territory, have emphasized that obtaining C of Os would follow a rigid and stringent procedure, Nevertheless, experts have argued that prerequisites and fees have to be thoroughly examined prior to being put into effect.
The following table is a proposal For payment schedule for the issuance of C of Os in order to ensure maximum efficacy and speedy compliance throughout the implementation and success of the program.

We therefore passionately appeal to the honorable minister to take into consideration our proposals and recommendation and its long-term implementation. The table above represents our understanding of how the federal capital territory’s revenue-generating body should segment or distribute the collection fee of the C of Os on the mass housing estates in Abuja to ensure cooperation and efficient service delivery.
