On Thursday at the government house while presiding over the monthly state executive council meeting, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State commended members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly (NSHA) for passing into law the State Mortgages and Foreclosure Law 2020.
The Governor said with the passage of the bill into law, the individuals of the state stand to profit from the efforts of housing development agents that will come into the state which will be to the benefit of the people of the state.
The Governor revealed that the State was just given consent to take part which was with the help of the state Commissioner for Agriculture and Water Resources, Prof. Allananah Otaki, as well as other members of the executive council, saw the Federal Ministry of Agriculture gave approval to Nasarawa to take part in the Agricultural Project for the Improvement of Livelihood for the lower income earners.
It’s a programme that is owned by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and its aimed at assisting farmers, as well as empowering women and youths by assisting them with programmes in agriculture and the value chain.
The Governor concluded by stating that over 800 women and children that were displaced after security operatives removed Boko Haram insurgents in Toto Local Government Area, have all been sent to their various state.
