Suspected Terrorists Destroy Houses And Food Bans In Niger State

Suspected Boko Haram terrorists returned to Galadimakogo and surrounding communities in Shiroro local government area of Niger State destroying houses and food bans, killing number of persons, while abducting several others.

In a report credited to THISDAY, there are claims of use of sophisticated weapons by the gunmen which made many believe they are Boko Haram members as this was the first time the terrorists planted explosives in the community.

The gunmen numbering about 50 rode on motorcycles with each carrying sophisticated guns, some AK47 rifles.

According to witnesses, while the attack lasted for hours, the terrorists first set ablaze three buildings housing men of the Joint Security Taskforce which was under renovation before also burning others in the community.

The invaders later left the community with sack loads of food items stolen from the village, eyewitnesses say.
