Take Advantage of Eid-el-Kabir To Pray For A Greater Nigeria — REDAN President

The President of the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN), Dr Aliyu Wamakko, yesterday, called on Muslims to take advantage of today’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration to pray for a secured and better Nigeria.

In a report gotten from the Nigerian Vanguard, Wamakko while speaking with pressmen, highlighted on the need for Muslim to pray for national peace and economic development of the country.

He said prayers are what is needed in repositioning Nigeria for greatness. Prayers, he revealed are what is needed and the support of everyone irrespective of religion, tribe or political differences, to propel the nation in an upward trajectory.

He also prayed for the safe return of Nigerians who are on pilgrimage in Mecca

According to him, the task of repositioning Nigeria for greatness required the prayers and support of everyone irrespective of religion, tribe or political differences.

While reinstating the commitment of the Association (REDAN) towards quality housing delivery towards reducing housing deficit in the country, he said REDAN is already partnering with other relevant Organizations within and outside the country on the need to ensure affordable and accessible accommodation for all Nigerians.

He appealed to President Bola Tinubu to assent to the Bill for an Act to establish the Real Estate Regulatory Council of Nigeria, RECON.

Dr. Wamakko said the Bill when signed into law would further enhance professionalism in real estate business, reduce building collapse as well as housing deficit in the country.

Also, while suggesting that State and Local Governments should put in place policies and programmes that would assist their people in homeownership towards improving their living conditions, he re-affirmed the commitment of the Association in complementing the efforts of Government at all levels in ensuring quality and affordable housing to Nigerians.
