Mr Salihu Doho, Deputy Operation Officer, Gombe State Fire Service, said three perons and N357 million property were lost to fire in 2020.
The fire officer, in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Gombe on Tuesday, said men of the service also saved property worth over N1.349 billion.
Doho said, during the period under review, the service was able to save 688 lives, but recorded seven injuries and received 279 incident calls.
Doho stated that the year under review recorded less number of lives and property lost to fire outbreaks when compared to over 12 lives and property worth N636 lost in the first half of 2019.
