The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has assured residents of Kwali Area Council of his willingness to complete the construction of the abandoned Kwali township stadium.

Wike made this pledge on Wednesday while officially opening the construction of the 11-kilometer Kwali-Sukuku-Abo road,he also gave assurance to the locals that all unfinished projects in the area council which his government took over will be completed.

According to reports, the 20,000-capacity sports complex was granted, along with five others, to the six local councils in the region during the Bala Mohammed government.
The idea behind the project was to support the growth of grassroots sports initiatives.

Although the minister expressed sympathy for the high cost of living that the area’s people were facing at the time, he further reassured them that President Bola Tinubu was committed to enhancing their welfare through the implementation of large-scale projects and the development of jobs. He also pointed out that the situation was temporary.
